Dimraeth does have romance content, but there is currently nothing official to plan around. The only statement is one line on the Steam store page: “Deeper relationships unlock new conversations, personal quests, and potential romances.” There is no romanceable roster, no affinity system, and no character that the developer has flagged as romanceable. If you are looking for “can I romance X”, the only honest answer right now is that the developer has not said.

What the official wording actually covers

Split the sentence and it confirms three things while leaving three blanks:

Officially confirmedNot published
Dialogue expands as relationships deepenWhich characters have romance arcs
Personal quests unlockWhether an affinity value exists, and how it grows
“Potential romances” existWhether gender or race restricts them

There is a second official mechanic worth reading alongside it: investing materials in an ally’s facilities expands shop inventories, adds new crafting services and opens more farming plots. Relationships are therefore not a separate dating minigame — they share the same invest-then-unlock structure as stronghold development.

Why no reliable romance guide exists yet

Three reasons stack up:

  1. The game just entered Early Access. Relationship content is still moving with each update, and the developer has never published a relationship chart.
  2. The developer has published no roster. Third-party wikis and search snippets that list romanceable characters have no first-party source; most of them are simply guessing from the six officially introduced characters.
  3. Relationship content sits inside the story. The developer confirms that story progress, recruited allies and buildings stay tied to a world, which makes relationship development a long-term investment in one save rather than something you can look up and rush.

One important precision: the developer has not classified relationship progress as either “follows your character” or “tied to the world”. Strictly speaking, how it is stored is unpublished; all you can confirm is that it is closely tied to that world’s story progress.

What co-op players should expect

If you play with friends, get this straight first:

  • Story progress belongs to the world, so each of you builds relationships in your own save;
  • Recruited allies belong to the world, so relationship targets do not follow your hero into someone else’s game;
  • Personal progression (level, equipment, inventory, spells) travels with you, and does not affect relationship checks.

The conclusion is simple: develop relationships in your own world rather than trying to knock them out in a friend’s save.

How to approach it for now

The following is assembled from the developer’s mechanics and is not an official guide:

  1. Push the stronghold and main story first. Relationship depth unlocks dialogue, personal quests and services, all of which hang off that world’s progress.
  2. Recruit NPCs into your stronghold early. Those NPCs run spellbooks, shop inventories and crafting services, so they carry both practical and relationship value.
  3. Track what you did in each world. Because allies and buildings are world-bound, the easiest thing to lose across saves is which NPC you recruited where.
  4. Do not distort your main-story pacing to “farm romance”. Nothing official suggests relationships grant combat power, and finishing the story first is more efficient.

When to come back to this page

Relationship details will land in some future update. When that happens, check in this order:

  1. Dated developer announcements in the Steam news hub;
  2. Official announcements and developer replies in the official Discord;
  3. The actual in-game NPC interactions — that is the final answer;
  4. Third-party rosters, which stay speculation until they cite an official source.
